Birthday Card

This is a birthday card for my mom's Birthday tomorrow.  The flowers in the center are prima flowers.  The dragonfly stamp is from Bubawumps.  I colored them in with PanPastels also from Bubawumps.  PanPastels are the best coloring solution I've found so far.  The come in .30fl oz, which seems small but they last forever.  They sell for $6.00 a piece and come in many colors.  However, you can just get the primary colors and then use white or black to change the tint.

Mothers Day gift

I made this for my mother for a Mothers Day gift.  The glue isn't quite dry yet.  I took the picture right after I glued it down.  I'm putting it into a shadow box frame.  Michaels's had a sale on frames so I was able to pick this one up for less than $6 with the 20% off coupon.  I'm definetely going to have to buy some more frames when they go on sale.  I already have people asking me if I can make something for them.  Update:  My mom loved it.  She is already looking for a place to hang it up.

2nd Quilling Project

I decided to turn this one into a gift for Mothers day. This one is for my Mother-in-Law. I decided to frame it in a shadowbox frame with a black background.  I took the Happy Mothers day off of it and used it on a card instead.

Paper Quilling

Here is my 1st attempt at paper quilling.  I actually found quilling to be quite easy and fun.  I find it really relaxing and satisfying when you are able to create some really unique crafts.

My 4H project when I was 14

I would have to say this is one of the best projects I ever worked on and it turned out awesome.  The most amazing thing is I was only 14 at the time.  I made it for 4-H at the time.  I won first place with it.   It has been displayed in my parents home and now in my own home.  I love how it turned out.

Garden Journal

This is my first major project.  Its a Garden Journal. I cut out the paper to make a book cover.  Fit the pages into the cover.  Then I used a line of hot glue down the inside center.  I let the hot glue dry, then inserted the pages.  Then I put the cover and pages into my Your Story Machine and let the glue melt again so the pages stuck into them.  I used the cricut to cut out the lettering and used some embelishments to spruce it up a bit. Also don't forget the ribbon for the page marker.   I have been trying to sell them at a local horticultural center near my house but they don't seem to be selling.  So I'm talking to the friends group for the center and seeing if they want to strike up a deal.  They sell them for $10 and I get $5 and I donate $5 to their organization. They really don't cost me too much to make so its a pretty good deal.
