I found these glass candle holders at Hobby Lobby. They only had 5 left and they were clearanced at $1.20 a piece.  OMG, how could I pass that up. I bought all 5 of them and even took the holder they had them in.  I was going to etch the 1st one but had a bit of trouble placing the vinyl down so I decided that it was just easier to vinyl it instead.  I had to put the vinyl on transfer tape and then tape that down to my desk.  I then flipped the glass upside down and ever so carefully lined it up with the vinyl and set it down.  I pretty much had just one chance to get this thing on their straight.  I'm sure it wasn't skill but rather first timers luck I got it on their perfect the 1st time.  I'm going to glass etch my next one. 

I've been trying to make at least 1 card a day.  Sounds easier than it actually is, especially after putting in a 8 hour day at work and then trying to get things done around the house.  But last week I had two days off from work so I was able to get these cards done.

I made this wreath using a McGill Paper Blossoms punch I found at a scrapbooking expo in October.  It was the last one they had and I'm so glad I got it.  I love it and want to get some of the other punches that they make.  It was so easy to do once you punch out the pieces its mostly assembly.  I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this yet.  Maybe a birthdy gift for someone.

I glass etched these for my cousins wedding gift.  I used vinyl to cut out the stencil for the etching using my cricut machine.  The pictures show the front and back.  Each glass has both on it.  I got the glasses for $1 a piece at the dollar store.  They came out fantastic.

I saw this idea on the cricut message boards and figured I'd give it a try with my own twist.  I started with an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper and cut it down to the size of the notebook lengthwise.  I then scored the sides to wrap around the notebook.  On the one I saw they used a piece of ribbon to keep the cover closed.  I didn't really like that idea so I decided to use magnets. 

This was my first attempt at using Vinyl and Glass etching cream.  I think they turned out pretty good.

This was an pickle jar.  I used the outline vinyl from the above jar and placed it on the jar and then used glass etching cream.  I followed the directions which said to leave it on for 5 mins, which I did.  I kind of freaked out when I went to wash it off because I didn't see anything on the jar. But after it started to dry I could then see the etching.  I'm not as impressed with this one but I still like it.  Next I'm going to try glass etching some wine glasses.
